You have finally made it through school, and now have been hired with a company. You report to the company for orientation which will last for up to 5 days, and most company's will only give you maybe $25.00 per day for this. First I like to point out the legal side. This is a BIG ONE. Being a truck driver is fun and you can make a lot, or a ton of money. So what do I mean legal? Because we both know that you need a CDL license to drive... When I say legal we are looking at your MVR (Motor Vehicle Record). Why is this important? If you have 1 too many violations most trucking companies will not hire you. This is what the HR Truck Licence schools do not tell you.

I've seen the mountains touch the sky, snow still there in June perhaps July, I've seen the green grass on the prairie and the blooming in the desert. My Dad never saw Montana as I drive through and take it for granted.

You may be witness to historical events and not even know it. Additionally, you will have some Truck driving school time to spare in the cities you go, so don't worry about learning only the docks, parking lots and warehouses. If you are a sociable person and you don't like routine, this job is made for you. You will never eat at the same hour. Sometimes you will not even get to sleep. But that shouldn't be a problem since you can taste new out-of-the-ordinary food every couple of days and sleep in the comfort of different hotels.
